The Manchikalalu organization has started its own family house, “Bhavita- Manchikalalu”, in May 2007 with the intention to promote the dignity of Indian street children. The house is managed by local personnel, motivated and professionally trained. The Manchikalalu guarantees the supervision and coordination of the house with the frequent presence of skilled Italians (educators, trainers, doctors and nurses). The house is permanently staffed by association personnel. The house can host the set quality standards up to 20 children, a target being in close reach. We mean to give them the opportunity to grow based on appropriate nutrition, medical support, standard schooling.
We also mean to help the children to follow their own dreams, developing skills tendencies and potential, and to help them acquire professional training.
Since March 12, 2007, the association has rented a house for the project, measuring 208 square meters, divided in 7 rooms.
Our objective however is to acquire a larger home, that guarantees quality of life for up to 20 children. Our association is not currently able to do so with its limited resources.
The first step of our project is to have a family house and now we are so happy because it is accomplished. We have already opened a new BHAVITHA HOUSE. Our next step and aim is to buy a land and to build a house of our own. To tell you the truth, the rent of the house is too expensive. It cost’s 200 Euros / 10000 Rs only per month.
We would like to have greener place for our boys to play, sing, dance and roam freely. We would like to give them the opportunity to enjoy their life in more comfortable place. If the place is big we can separate boys to have more comfortable rooms and give them the opportunity to sleep on the bed. We could separate the boys according to their age. Because it is so pathetic to see them sleeping on the floor, in the limited place. We have only matters and early morning we remove them and use the same place for other
daily activities. The congested place is causing lot of inconvenience to our boys.
If we have more places we can invite more volunteers to enjoy with us so that they could share their wonderful experience with our boys. The total amount for building a new house is 90.0000 Euros / Rs 45 Lacks . We will be grateful if you could render your help for our boys.
We look forward to the cooperation of some local organizations to offer the quality of support in various areas: sanitary, nutritional, educational, emotional, etc. Manchikalalu keenly focuses on the realization of the potential of each child. We are aiming at the promotion of a welcoming organization on the model of a family home, guaranteeing to the hosted children: |
| Each child in the house is conscious of the chance being offered and work responsibly to realize their dreams. Our objective however is to acquire a larger home that guarantees quality of life for up to 30 children. |
